{"id":27675,"date":"2024-03-21T14:47:36","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:47:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ce-sejem.si\/?p=27675"},"modified":"2024-03-21T14:47:36","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:47:36","slug":"march-fairs-2024-exceptional-atmosphere-and-diverse-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ce-sejem.si\/en\/march-fairs-2024-exceptional-atmosphere-and-diverse-events\/","title":{"rendered":"March Fairs 2024: Exceptional Atmosphere and Diverse Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the course of three days, <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>March Fairs<\/strong> featured <strong>five different themed fairs<\/strong>, <strong>380 exhibitors<\/strong> from <strong>18 countries,<\/strong> and over <strong>19,000 visitors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Culinary competitions, local delicacies, as well as numerous lectures and accompanying events, were highlights of the March Fairs.<\/p>\n<p>The first day began with an opening ceremony. This year&#8217;s March Fairs also included our first-ever Days of Sport Shooting Fair, so the president of the Shooting Union of Slovenia was invited as one of the official speakers.<\/p>\n<p>The March Fairs were officially opened by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sa\u0161a Kundih, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Celje,<\/li>\n<li>Ljubo Germi\u010d, President of the Shooting Union of Slovenia,<\/li>\n<li>Robert Otorepec, MA, Executive Director of Celje Fair Plc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There was a venison goulash cooking competition on Saturday, offering captivating flavours and a lively atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>The finest goulash was prepared by:<\/p>\n<p>1st place:&nbsp;<strong>Hunting club KROPA<\/strong><br \/>\n2nd place:&nbsp;<strong>Hunting club Borovnica (Zvitorepci)<\/strong><br \/>\n3rd place:&nbsp;<strong>Hunting club Oto\u010dec<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Quick, Healthy, Affordable cooking competition brought together schools from all over Slovenia and&nbsp;was held on the demo kitchen stage of the Altermed &amp; Flora fair in Hall L. The committee narrowed down the top young chefs.<\/p>\n<p>This title was won by the schools and dishes listed below:<\/p>\n<p>1st place:<strong>&nbsp;Nettle pancakes and nettle fritters<\/strong>, Primary School \u0160martno pri Slovenj Gradcu<\/p>\n<p>2nd place:&nbsp;<strong>Healthy Ferrero Rocher in a cup<\/strong>, Primary School Lava<\/p>\n<p>3rd place:&nbsp;<strong>Buckwheat omelette with ramson and millet sprouts<\/strong>, Grammar School and Secondary School Ko\u010devje<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A veal stew cooking competition, sponsored by the Women Farmers Association of Slovenia, took place on Sunday in front of Hall K. The best veal stew was prepared by:<\/p>\n<p>1st place:&nbsp;<strong>Women Farmers Association <\/strong><strong>\u0160kocjan<\/strong><br \/>\n2nd place&nbsp;:&nbsp;<strong>Women Farmers Association<\/strong> <strong>Jakob<\/strong><br \/>\n3rd place:&nbsp;<strong>Women Farmers Association<\/strong> <strong>Bu\u010dka<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the March fairs, a number of talks, panels, and lectures took place.
