Official press release following the press conference – Agritech 2026
Celje, 13 January 2026 – From 29 January to 1 February 2026, Celjski sejem will once again open the doors of the biennial AGRITECH fair, the largest Professional fair for agricultural and forestry technology and agricultural raw materials in the Adria region, which this year is recording a record level of occupancy. Visitors can expect 124 direct exhibitors from nine countries, presenting more than 400 brands, representing an 18% increase compared to 2024. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that as many as 30% of exhibitors are manufacturers, giving the fair exceptional professional weight.
AGRITECH 2026 will fill seven exhibition halls, and the organiser expects around 25,000 visitors from Slovenia and the wider region. A special advantage of the fair is its timing, as it takes place immediately after the world-leading Agritechnica fair in Hanover. This enables exhibitors to present the latest machines, innovations and technological trends, first introduced in Germany, to the Slovenian professional audience.
Strong international participation
Direct exhibitors come from Austria, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Slovenia. Among them will be a wide range of Slovenian manufacturers who play an important role in shaping the development of agricultural and forestry machinery and present innovative domestic solutions.
Professional programme: key topics for the future of agriculture
The four-day professional accompanying programme of AGRITECH 2026 will bring together the key topics of modern agriculture and forestry, prepared by the organiser Celjski sejem in cooperation with partner institutions.
The first day will be dedicated to genetics, herd management, calf health and the economics of milk production, alongside other expert content. On Thursday and Friday, lectures on safe work in forestry will follow, as well as the central professional event on digitalisation and smart farming, highlighting data systems, automation and practical examples of the use of advanced technologies. With correct procedures, appropriate protective equipment and awareness, the most serious accidents can be prevented. Safety is not an obstacle to work – it is a condition for life.
The weekend will be devoted to the forestry profession, presentations by professional associations and content from expert partners addressing current challenges in the management of forests and agricultural land.
Throughout all days of the fair, test drives of tractors and demonstrations of forestry machinery will take place in the outdoor exhibition area, attracting great interest every year and giving visitors direct insight into the operation of the most advanced machinery. The fair will conclude on Sunday with the presentation of the AGRISTAR 2026 Awards, recognising the most outstanding machines and products as chosen by visitors.
AGRITECH 2026 – a hub of knowledge, innovation and the future of the sector
AGRITECH remains the key national event for everyone connected with agricultural and forestry machinery and agricultural raw materials. It is a platform where manufacturers, farmers, foresters, researchers, traders and experts come together to shape the future of the sector.
