Celje, March 31 – Starting in 2026, Celje Fair is introducing a new concept for the International Industry Fair (MIS). One of the most important industrial events in the wider region will now take place annually, with each edition focusing on current development topics and challenges in the industry. The first annual MIS will be held from April 14 to 17, 2026. This year’s edition will focus on production digitalization, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, welding, cutting and other material processing technologies, industrial system maintenance, industrial logistics and supply chains, energy solutions and sustainability, advanced materials, recycling, and the circular economy. More than 200 exhibitors from over 12 countries will participate, including companies from Japan and China.
MIS 2026: Technologies of Modern Production
MIS 2026 will showcase a wide range of technologies and solutions shaping the development of modern industry. Among the key highlights will be material processing technologies such as welding, cutting, and other advanced manufacturing methods, as well as systems for maintaining industrial equipment, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation of production facilities.
Production digitalization, artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation will also be at the forefront, significantly transforming the way production processes are planned, managed, and optimized. Modern production systems are complemented by solutions in industrial electronics, sensors, measurement technology, and advanced production management systems, enabling companies to achieve greater efficiency, reliability, and precision.
A strong emphasis will also be placed on energy solutions for industry, efficient energy use, and technological approaches to reducing environmental impact. Sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management are becoming key factors in industrial competitiveness.
The fair will also present solutions in industrial logistics, supply chains, and digitally supported production and transport management, enabling optimization of material flow, storage, and distribution in modern production systems.
Exhibitors will also showcase advanced materials, recycling technologies, and industrial waste management solutions related to the transition to a circular economy. Additionally, solutions in industrial graphics, marking, printing, and visual communications will be presented, playing an important role in product labeling, traceability, and effective presentation of industrial solutions.
Four Days of Professional Program
An important part of the fair is a rich and diverse accompanying program, running throughout all four days and offering insights into current challenges and solutions in modern industry.
Day 1 (April 14) will focus on logistics, digital solutions, and smart manufacturing. The program includes presentations such as Electrify your System (Rittal d.o.o.), humanoid robotics as the next step in industrial automation (HIPROJECT d.o.o.), the Formula Student project as a link between education and industry, and solutions for smart lubrication and coolant monitoring (ABC Maziva d.o.o.). There will also be a strong focus on logistics and traceability, including Connecting cargo and transport across Europe (Timocom d.o.o.) and RFID in smart manufacturing (Špica International d.o.o.). The day will also feature welding-related activities, including a national competition for students.
Day 2 (April 15) brings one of the most content-rich programs, focusing on production, artificial intelligence, and welding technologies. The central event will be the international business meeting Connect2Slovenia: Metal & Plastic (OZS, Advantage Austria, TECOS), enabling B2B networking. A key highlight is Welding Technology Day, featuring expert sessions on nuclear and fusion systems, advanced welding processes, and supporting technologies, as well as a poster session with the latest research and best practices. The program also includes topics such as AI in production (M ERP SISTEM d.o.o.), Industry 5.0 (Technology Park Ljubljana), machine connectivity in smart manufacturing (FANUC Adria d.o.o., ResEvo d.o.o.), lubricant condition monitoring (OLMA d.o.o.), smart product configuration (Business Solutions d.o.o.), waste recycling (Saubermacher Slovenija d.o.o.), the new EU packaging regulation (EMA d.o.o.), and smart coolant management (ABC Maziva d.o.o.). The day concludes with an awards ceremony and a social gathering for welders.
Day 3 (April 16) will focus on maintenance, energy, and advanced technologies. The central event is the Smart Maintenance Congress, addressing workforce challenges, digital transformation of industrial processes (Talum d.d.), asset management systems, maintenance KPIs, and the impact of AI on diagnostics and system operations (Instro d.o.o.). The program also includes energy-related topics such as the Energy Center of the Future (Termo Shop d.o.o.), EV charging stations, virtual sensors for diagnostics (CALMS d.o.o.), and energy connectivity. The day will be further enriched by a VIP evening of inspiration with Ivo Boscarol and networking with exhibitors and partners.
Final Day (April 17) will also focus on maintenance, energy, and digitalization. The Smart Maintenance Congress will cover topics such as compliance with legislation and standards, digitalization of energy systems, live electrical work in industry, preventive maintenance of electric motors, and management and maintenance of solar power plants. In parallel, advanced technologies such as edge AI (OpenJar Tech) and best practices for energy-efficient compressed air systems (Erlik d.o.o.) will be presented. Waste management topics organized by the Chamber of Public Utilities will also be featured. The event will conclude with the presentation of fair awards, highlighting the best innovations and achievements of exhibitors.
The entire accompanying program offers visitors concrete insights into industrial development, best practices, and opportunities for professional exchange and business networking.
A Meeting Point for Industry, Innovation, and Knowledge
The International Industry Fair will continue to serve as a meeting point for companies, innovators, and experts, enabling exhibitors to connect directly with professional audiences, business partners, and customers from the wider region, while fostering knowledge exchange and showcasing new industrial solutions.
With the introduction of an annual format and thematic focus, Celje Fair further strengthens the role of MIS as a key industrial hub in Southeast Europe. In April 2026, Celje will once again bring together companies, innovation, and knowledge, offering insight into the technologies shaping modern industry.
