March fairs 2025: Five fairs, one spring, endless opportunities, many novelties!

Celje, 24 January 2025 – Between 14 and 16 March 2025 , the Celje Fairgrounds will again become a meeting place for lovers of nature, cuisine, beekeeping, hunting, sports passion and tradition, as we will host five thematic fairs under our roof: Altermed & Flora, Hunting Days, Sports Shooting Days, KulinArt Festival and APIS Slovenia|Europe. This year’s specialty will be Gluten Free Expo Celje, where you will find a wide range of gluten-free products and numerous workshops on this topic. For the first time, you will also be able to learn about Forest Therapies, which have beneficial effects on the overall human well-being. As part of the March fairs, we are also preparing a special fair program for children for the first time – full of exploration, interactive experiences and genuine contact with nature. We have also published our own fairy tale, which will be released on the day of the opening of the March fairs.

APIS Slovenia|Europe – Beekeeping and Nature (15 and 16 March)

Beekeeping has a long tradition in Slovenia, as Slovenia is the cradle of beekeeping culture. This year, in its 48th edition, the ApisSlovenia fair is presented with the new name APIS Slovenia|Europe, as we expand the fair to the European level with European exhibitors. The aforementioned beekeeping fair will open its doors a day later than other March fairs. This year, the Slovenian Beekeepers’ Association (SBA) is preparing a professional accompanying program with experts from Slovenia and abroad and, in addition to interesting lectures in this field, you will also be able to find top beekeeping products, equipment and innovations that support modern approaches in beekeeping at the fair.

Altermed & Flora – healthy living and natural beauty

The Altermed & Flora fair, which celebrates its 19th edition this year, remains an indispensable event for everyone who wants to live a healthier life and in contact with nature. The fair will present organic products, natural cosmetics, nutritional supplements, herbs, crystals, books, various therapies for an integrated approach to improving physical and spiritual well-being, while at the same time there will be no lack of original ideas for organic gardening and landscaping. As part of the fair, numerous practical workshops and lectures will be held, offering visitors useful tips for everyday life. As part of the Altermed & Flora fair, we are hosting Gluten Free Expo Celje for the first time this year in Hall L – a fair dedicated to gluten-free nutrition, which will bring together the best providers of gluten-free products, innovative brands and experts who will guide visitors through the challenges and benefits of gluten-free living. As a novelty we are also introducing the Ecological Market. ECO schools will be with us again, in three days more than 150 schools will present themselves. The title of this year’s presentation is “Traditional and healthy nutrition in interaction with the countryside”.

Hunting Days – tradition in step with time

Hunting is an important part of natural and cultural heritage, which is confirmed by the third implementation of the Hunting Days fair. The event brings together hunters and nature lovers who will be able to explore the latest hunting equipment, listen to expert lectures and get acquainted with modern practices of sustainable wildlife management. This year, we are upgrading the event with an even richer offer and a professional program, which we are preparing in cooperation with the Hunting Association of Slovenia.

Sports Shooting Days – precision and dynamics

Sports shooting as a recreational and professional activity is gaining more and more followers, which is why the Sports Shooting Days, which accompany the March fairs for the second time this year, are an exceptional opportunity for fans of shooting disciplines. Manufacturers of sports firearms and equipment, shooting societies and clubs will be presented at the event, as well as presentations that give visitors an insight into this interesting world. The fair, which we are preparing in cooperation with the Shooting Association of Slovenia, the Slovenian Association for Practical Shooting and the Archery Association of Slovenia, also brings a round table with medal winners at the Paralympic Games.

Festival of Culinary Experiences – KulinArt

As part of the March fairs, taste buds will also be taken care of. At the Festival of culinary experiences – KulinArt, top providers will present local and international culinary specialties that will delight visitors. The event also offers the opportunity to learn about culinary trends and socialize with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.

Rich accompanying and professional program all fair days

In three days, more than 300 exhibitors will participate in the fairs, presenting products, solutions and opportunities for all generations. In addition, there will be a rich accompanying program with workshops, lectures and interactive events at as many as five venues. Among other things, there will be a day of hunting culture with performances of hunters’ choirs and horn players, a national championship in the imitation of deer calls, as well as a presentation of the Hunting Kennel Clubs, which operate under the auspices of the Slovenian Kennel Association, and the Falconry Association and the Traffic Safety Agency with professional content and interesting exhibits. With Jasmina Kandorfer, visitors will be able to chat over coffee, and with Sanja Lončar about natural solutions to the problems of the modern human.

We also prepared an accompanying program for children. At the fair, children will discover nature, health and sustainable values through play and experiential learning.  They will see and feel authentic objects from nature in person, and learn about the mission of hunters to protect nature and the environment, sustainably manage wildlife and preserve hunting values. In order to further round out the content for children and bring them closer to the fair events, we have published a fairy tale in cooperation with the fairy tale writer Maja Furman, which will be released on the day of the beginning of the March fairs, and our mascots – Mosko the bear and the 5-year-old twins Cene and Senja – play the main role in it. We entrusted the guidance of the youngest to a storyteller and, as a reward for visiting, children receive a copy of the fairy tale.
