MOS is more than just an ordinary trade fair – it is a junction of innovation where fresh ideas are born, new partnerships are established and innovative business opportunities are developed. This year, we are offering you the opportunity to think differently, daringly and bravely. Through a number of lectures, presentations and workshops, you will be able to explore new business ideas, learn about new products, discover new destinations and indulge in culinary delights. All this and more – in one place!

MOS is the most prominent business expo event in Slovenia and the wider region. For more than five decades, the fair has contributed to numerous successful business stories and new partnerships, provided educational contents and enabled visitors and exhibitors to acquire useful information in various fields. This year, MOS will host 650 exhibitors and more than 1,100 brands. Direct exhibitors come from nine different countries, and the represented brands come from 26 countries. At MOS, direct exhibitors present their products and services to the broader public and offer them the opportunity to physically test their products, which is one of the main reasons why visitors come to the fair. Another key advantage is direct contact with potential partners and buyers – genuine human contact is still considered to be a decisive factor in closing business deals. Last year’s MOS saw over 65,000 visitors, which resulted in an astonishing number of successful business deals.

MOS DOM

Sustainable energy solutions, construction and renovation of residential environment

MOS DOM is the place to be for anyone who is planning to renovate or build his or her home. At Exhibition Hall D, you can find providers of builders’ joinery, alarm systems, pergolas, as well as businesses specialising in construction. You will find a diverse offer of ambient lighting, roofing, fences, heating and ventilation systems, ceramic tiles, outdoor kitchens, pools and hot tubs.   

At Exhibition Hall E, you can find a diverse range of providers of indoor furniture, from wallpapers to wardrobes, hidden beds, designer tables and lighting, kitchens and wall panels. Moreover, you will be able to see a diverse offer of chairs, beds, mattresses, as well as saunas, hot tubs, fireplaces, vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners and couches. The Brez ovir Institute will present house elevators for persons with disabilities, which only proves our dedication to accessibility and comfort in your home.

This year, Exhibition Hall L will be dedicated to contemporary sustainable solutions, such as solar power plants, heat pumps and HVAC systems, which are key for energy-efficient and environment-friendly living.  

MOS TURIZEM

Sustainable and green tourism, gastronomy, camping and caravanning

MOS TURIZEM in Exhibition Hall C is one of the most diverse segments of the fair, which provides the visitors with the exciting experience of discovering the charms of boutique and green tourism. Collective brands that bring together local, traditional and organic providers are at the forefront.

At the event, you will be able to learn about various tourist destinations and enjoy culinary delights. Providers will present local and organic produce, handicrafts and a variety of services and experiences. Among the culinary masterpieces, you will find cured meat products, cheeses, pumpkin oils, honeybee products, chocolates, teas and much more. Renowned winemakers, gin makers and brewers will also join in, presenting their latest products.

MOS PLUS

Products and services for leisure, healthy lifestyle and e-mobility

In Exhibition Hall A, you will find amazing discounts and an abundant offer of products and services that will improve your health and quality leisure time. Visitors can choose between orthopaedic and barefoot footwear, which enables natural movement, and leather clothing and other products that will add elegance to your style. You can also find quality nutritional supplements to support a healthy lifestyle, innovative massage appliances for relaxation, and professional health services for your well-being.

Visitors can find natural skin care products, while natural fragrances and aromatherapy will offer beneficial effects for relaxation. This year, the entire gallery of Exhibition Hall A will be occupied by Baby center, which will prepare animations for kids and an abundant activities programme. A part of the gallery will be dedicated to the sales of a wide range of their quality products for children.

MOS TEHNIKA IN DIGITALIZACIJA

Equipment, technology and digital solutions for a smart future

The MOS TEHNIKA in DIGITALIZACIJA segment at Exhibition Hall K will offer a wide range of equipment and tools for businesses and DIYers, professional energy solutions and eco-friendly technology. Visitors can find the latest solutions for digitalisation, automation and energy management, which enable the advanced operation of smart buildings, cities and industry. Services in the field of industrial automation, energy and digital technology such as IoT, artificial intelligence and blockchain will be presented. Moreover, visitors will be able to learn about innovative technologies and consulting services that support energy efficiency and environmentally friendly solutions. IT services for businesses will also be available, including information systems management, digital accounting solutions, insurance products, as well as IT security and data protection services.

MOS B2B

Opportunities for business cooperation and career development

At Exhibition Hall L1, the MOS B2B segment will offer presentations of various occupations and practical demonstrations of their work. There will be consultants available, who will answer any questions you may have and help you make decisions regarding your career or business cooperation.

There will be many career opportunities at this year’s MOS:

• Competition of young professionals in vocational skills SloveniaSkills 2024: A competition in 13 professional trades including hairdressing, painting, cooking, waitering, floristry, designing, stonemasonry, mechatronics, ICT, web development, furniture and carpentry and CNC milling. At the same time, it also provides an opportunity to learn about different professions and practical demonstrations, which will take place in cooperation with the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI).
• Craft Street: Presentation of craft occupations and interactive workshops.
• Career counselling and orientation: counselling on choosing a suitable occupation, preparing a Europass CV, presentation of educational programmes and schools.
• Apprentice office: information on apprenticeship as a form of education.

A JUNCTION OF SCIENCE AND ECONOMY

Within the scope of MOS B2B, Exhibition Hall L1 will host the project “A Junction of Science and Economy”, which is traditionally managed by Janez Škrlec on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The Junction will bring together presentations of state-of-the-art technologies, innovations and products from various fields, such as mechatronics, automation, robotics, energy industry, nanotechnology, space technologies and digitalisation. Since 2016, the project has attracted numerous visitors, especially university and high school students who are looking for opportunities in high-tech industries.

At the Junction, Slovenian research and educational institutions and high-tech companies will present their achievement and scientific findings. The primary focus will be on the fields of micro-, bio- and nanotechnologies, bionics and space technologies. This year’s presentation will be focused on digital transformation, Industry 4.0 and the coming Industry 5.0. For the first time ever, ARIS – Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency, and IZUM – Institute for Information Science from Maribor will participate in MOS within the scope of this presentation. IZUM will present the COBISS and SICRIS systems and provide information about HPC Vega, one of the most important computer systems in Europe. Special attention will most definitely be drawn by the international Hybrid Neuro project, managed by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor, led by prof. dr. Aleš Holobar. They will present an upgrade of the integration of bionic systems in a 3D human model, and an upgraded bionic head as a technological platform will be presented.

 EXCITING EVENTS IN THE ATRIUM

 A traditionally popular space for mingling and having fun

 Traditionally, our atrium has been a central space for relaxation and entertainment, where you can take a few moments’ break from the shopping frenzy. This time, however, the atrium will transform into a culinary centre. It will host a number of catering providers with food trucks, whose diverse offer of meals and snacks will make sure that every visitor finds something for him- or herself.

For E-mobility enthusiasts, we will arrange parking spaces for bikes, e-bikes, scooters and e-scooters. Your youngest family members can have fun at the exciting children’s playground, equipped with swings and climbing frames, where your little treasures can spend their time in a safe and active manner.

The atrium will have a lively atmosphere, ideal for hanging out with friends and family or relaxing after a hard day at work.

  • 00–11.00: B2B E-commerce – Why is the digital B2B world something completely different than B2C, Roman Krušič (Spletna postaja)
    Roman Krušič will present the rapid progress of digitalisation in the segment of B2B business. He will focus on the key differences between B2B and B2C commerce and offer practical examples of successful implementation of digital strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and tools that will shape the future of the B2B market.
  • 00–12.00: ChatGPT and its use in business and career, Tanja Fric (Go Digi d.o.o.)
    Tanja Fric will talk about the potential of artificial intelligence, especially ChatGPT, in the world of business and career. The lecture will shed light on how ChatGPT and similar AI tools can affect work productivity and business strategies.
  • 00–13.00: Digitalisation of the sales process, Pro-Bit d.o.o.
    The presentation will cover the key aspects of digitalisation of sales processes with the purpose of improving efficiency and optimisation of business. They will demonstrate specific examples of how digital tools and solutions can affect the sales process.
• Celjanka Hall:
  • 00–15.00: Efficient management of business zones with an overview of best practices from abroad, MOC and Savinjska Region Incubator
    The event will focus on the management of business zones and the presentation of successful practices from abroad. They will present best practice examples that can help companies with efficient management of business spaces and increase of productivity.

  • 00–17.00: International business meeting “Connect2Slovenia”, Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia
    This traditional international meeting is intended for the networking of small and medium-sized businesses and start-ups with new business partners from SE Europe and Alpe Adria. The focus will be on businesses dealing with Industry 4.0, digitalisation, automotive and metal industry and other technological solutions. Admission is free; however, prior registration is required.

• 00–16.00: Expert meeting “Recommendations for the installation of photovoltaic modules on roofs of buildings”, Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia
  The expert meeting will focus on the recommendations and guidelines for correct installation of photovoltaic modules. The event is intended for businesses and experts who deal with renewable energy sources and installation of solar panels.

    This event will include a presentation of the Amazon platform and in-depth lectures on e-commerce. The focus will be on best practices, strategies and solutions that businesses can use to improve their online sales channels.
